Creating Wish Lists

Wish List Title Banner

When it comes to books, are your eyes bigger than your bed stand? Luckily, you can use our wish lists to remind yourself of what to read next!

OR you can email these lists to friends and family so they know the perfect gift to give you for any occasion or need--like weddings, birthdays, baby showers, holidays, your classroom library, and more!

You can even set it up like a registry so that you never get the same book twice.

Teachers, are you looking to recommend books to your students? Check out the options on this page.

Here’s what you need to know about setting up a wish list:

First, you must have an account with us.

Once you are logged into your account, search or browse for a book and click on ‘Add to Wish List.’ A pop-up box will come up where you can Create a Wish List, or add a new one if you have already created one.

Alternately, if you follow the link to “My Account” in the top right corner, you can access the Wish List tab there, start a new one, name it, and add a prepared list of ISBNS (See bulk upload instructions below)!

Remember to add qtys so you get the exact number of copies you’d like. When someone purchases from the list, the qty is automatically decremented.

To share your Wish List, see “email your wishlist” instructions below.

Your Name (required) - defaults to the email associated with your account, but you can change it if you like.

Event or expiration date - This can be set for a specific date: a birthday, wedding, or other special event or occasion, or you can extend the date as long as you want.

OPTION: Make it Private - If you make it Private, your Wish List will not show up in a search on the website, but can still be shared via email (see sharing instructions below).

OPTION: Don’t require shipping - Check only if all books will be picked up at the bookstore. If you want us to save all your books for pick-up at once, please email e-orders@bookpeople.com and include a link to your wishlist along with the date you would like to pick everything up so that we can make those arrangements.

Add notes if more details are needed.

List of books added to the Wish List appears after the Notes section.

Bulk Upload - If you choose to upload a list of ISBNS all at once, the ISBNs for the books you have added to your Wish List will show up in the Bulk Upload box. If you delete any of them, that book will be removed from your list. Or, scroll up to the list of book covers and remove the book there.
